Do not be alarmed. It is usually not out for extended periods of time. Electricity is very precious. Please save energy.
Please keep in mind that you will need to pick up groceries and necessities that you will need during your stay. We suggest picking up the following items: bags of ice, dish and laundry detergent, coffee, creamer, sugar, coffee filters, any cooking supplies / condiments that you will need, tin foil. If you have the Full-Service Package, your villa will be pre-stocked for you.

No, we do not provide travel insurance. Primus Villas offers Trip Protection Coverage as an option to purchase. The Trip Protection Coverage will allow you to cancel at any time, for any reason (weather, family emergency, sickness, work, etc.), and give you an additional year to travel. Primus Villas strongly encourages all clients to purchase the Trip Protection Coverage. Please ask your concierge for details.
Placencia is a 20-mile-long peninsula and cars are not typically needed. Most of our groups rent golf carts for the week.
Contact your credit card company before arriving to advise them of your travel plans to Belize and the dates you will be using your card. US dollars, Visa and MasterCard are accepted most anywhere in Belize for a small transaction fee. ATM’s are widely available.

Guests should plan to fly into the Philip SW Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City. Your group will then take a hopper flight to Placencia. Your concierge will be happy to arrange your hopper flights for you.
Local currency is the Belize dollar. One U.S. dollar is worth two Belize dollars and because it is a fixed exchange rate, their is no fluctuation. The U.S. dollar is accepted almost everywhere, however large bills can be difficult to break.
You must have a valid passport to enter Belize. If your passport is set to expire within the next six months, please renew before you travel.
English is the official language and is widely spoken, as is Spanish.
Yes, Primus Villas will prepare and send a comprehensive trip itinerary prior to your departure date complete with all planned excursions, final details and contact numbers for your convenience.
Check-in time is 3:00pm or later on Saturday, and check-out time is by 11:00am the following Friday.
Yes, we can arrange for a daily maid service for an additional fee. The Primus Villas Full Service Package includes daily maid service.
All of our villas have at least four bedrooms.
Primus Villas provides a starter supply of bath and dish soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Please bring your preferred brand of shampoo. Shampoo is available at the local grocery stores, though your brand is not guaranteed. All necessary towels and linens are provided at the villa. There is no need to bring those items along on your trip.
The drive time from the airstrip in Placencia to our villas ranges anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the property. If you decide to take a shuttle vs. the hopper flight, the drive time from Belize City to Placencia is roughly 3 ½ hours.
The water in each of our villas is considered safe for drinking. To eliminate all risk, drinking and utilizing bottled water is a proper precaution.
